Mercian has launched the new ‘Catchfall System’. The Health and Safety Executive have announced that they are to pay particular interest to the area of operation where persons are up on the back of Artic Trailers (go to website hse.gov.uk and ‘falls from vehicle campaign’). The Catchfall is a portable harness system (free standing) that can be transported and erected on site. Mercian intends to hire and sell the system. It allows the greater freedom of movement on the trailer but also giving the confidence in safety against falling.
